The school resource centre has undertaken an amazing refurbishment and transformation into an innovative and flexible learning environment - which has now become one of the most popular spaces within the school. This refurbishment was only possible due to the financial contributions made by the school's P&C.
This centre has a large collection of literature which aims to support the curriculum as well as the recreational reading needs of students.
The school has the services of a Teacher-Librarian who co-ordinates all facets of library use and a part-time Teacher-Aide. Both are available to assist students, staff and parents to borrow resources or access information.
Lessons are planned in conjunction with year level teachers so that units of work are integrated between classroom and library (Co-operative planning and Teaching).
A computer lab located in the centre enables the integration of Information and Communications Technologies into student learning activities. The computer lab can be accessed by all classes and utilises mobile technology (laptops and iPads).
Generally, all students attend one lesson each week and many classes visit the library during class time to borrow books or use the library resources. In addition to class access, the Library is open to students at lunch times.
